Hi all :wave1: , I tried to make a 40 gal system over the winter and I believe my issue was that my grow bed wasn't large enough. Now I'm starting a IBC tote that I have filled to 125 Gallons, and the top is filled with 6-7 inches of hydroton. Will this be enough media for that size tank to start a good bio filter?
Also how many lbs of fish do you suggest and what expansion capabilities would I have with this size tank? If you could point me to the info so I can have a better understanding of it I would appreciate it... I'm sorta brain drained from having a new born and horrible with math.

The tank is a 300 gal tank. I'm at work and can't measure it right now.
