Im not in NZed  but always keen to greet a fellow kiwi. Kia Ora, chur.Ive done a bit of research on Aquaponics in NZ, as far as I know its hard to keep fish (trout) in bulk without permits from DOC. Even then you have to source the fingelings which again is a red tape subject. Nothing wrong with raising ornamentals except for the fact that us kiwis love our kaimoana and im sure little goldy wont suffice. Speak up kiwis would love to also hear from those in NZ taking this fascination on.

Yep, as above..... A few people have given it a bash, but difficult with fish species there.. |

Im in NZ. I've got the materials together to build a blue barrel system. Im planning on trying out freshwater crayfish. There are heaps in the streams here and they taste pretty good. I think they will be possible to keep over winter here in auckland but the water will probably get too warm over summer. Sent from my GT-I8190N using Tapatalk |
