Lets talk chelated iron, is it the stuff in the vitamin section? Anyone have a pic or brand? Or where to buy the brand they use?

Tap Water- I know the preferred method is to let it sit and allow the chlorine to evaporate but what if you need to add to the system now? Can you use the dechlorinate solution for ponds or aquariums? Will this pose any ill effects on cycling?

Thanks in advance

i've only used "Maxicrop + iron", i've seen powdered chelated iron before but it contained some things i wasn't too sure about so i stuck with something that has been tested..
if you tap water is treated with chlorine, 24 hours of aeration/circulation will off-gas it, but if you have chloramines, thats a different story, you'll need to treat it, i'd use vitamin c (ascorbic acid)
most aquarium "solutions" aren't meant for fish you plan on eating so be careful with them

Find out from your local council website etc how they disinfect the water.

I use this http://www.yates.com.au/products/fertil ... ated-iron/

not sure if you can get that over there

Just call and ask your local water treatment plant people if they put chloramines in to treat your water.
