Has anyone used a Cadmium Sulfide cell as a light sensor?

Maybe using RC time constants?

Maybe an array of cads to help point a solar collector?

Trigger when to roll up insulation after the sun comes out?

When the sun goes down?

Maybe look at the efficiency of sun heating the greenhouse verses coverup with insulation, to conserve energy?
