Post subject:  Some Questions About a First Systerm

1. Is Seaplex http://www.botanicaredevelopmentsite.co ... ts/seaplex the same thing as seasol? I haven't looked for seasol yet, but I happened to have seen Seaplex in a catalog so I was wondering if they were different brands of the same thing.

2. In a starter IBC with one grow bed, how many common, "feeder" goldfish would be wanted to get the cycle started? We're going to get the IBC within a week and have a probable source for gravel.

3. Where does one find the necessary test kits for the water? Are they commonly available from farm stores? Pond suppliers? Pet shops? Need they be ordered online?

1. It looks like it's about the same, but in the U.S. you would look for Maxicrop. You should be able to find it at Lowe's, Home Depot, or Amazon.

2. Probably around 10 "large comets" I would guess. They cost about 27 cents each at petsmart.

3. I got mine from Amazon. You can probably find them at pet stores though. Maybe even Wal-Mart.
