I tried searching but growbed brings up a lot of results.

What are peoples thoughts on putting veggie scraps straight into the growbed media. I have half a cauliflower in the fridge that is past its used by date and my work farm is full. There are plenty of worms in the GB so why not feed them directly?

Here is one discussion I recall on adding things to a grow bed:

Personally I wouldn't bury things in my bed, but maybe that's just me...

Have you ever stuck your fingers into fresh rotting fruit and vegetable matter before? :pukeright:

I prefer to keep the beds as clean as possible, there's already solids from the fish tank going in there as well as old root matter from plants that's taking up air/water space in the media so why add to the decomposing load within the bed already..?

 good point! Don't want to put my finger in a cauliflower. Veggie scraps go to the garden till the worm farm can keep up.

Bigger worm farm, more worms, feed worms to fish.

I put banana peel on top and the worms think it is great, and when I want some worms I just lift the peel and there are thousands .I guess all the castings are disolved below .
