what size pvc pipe should i use? I used 1/2 inch on my 55 gallon system but what should I use for my 75 gallon system? |

Personally... I wouldn't use anything under 1" (25mm).. in an AP system... Anything smaller will block rapidly with bio-film buildup... |

Yeah.. I've heard the arguement used that you should have a "Durso" standpipe.. or siphon.... because without them.... the standpipes and/or siphons in aquaponic grow beds... are so noisey...... I must be going deaf... because I can't hear any loud noises in my... or any of my clients systems... |

You want a fairly big media guard to fit in a durso standpipe... and they need to be removed and replaced with a standard standpipe if you want to fit a bell. Personally I dont see the point unless you have an aquarium next to your bed. |
