I think if you rinse the food off first youll be fine I for one dont eat straight from my grow beds if there is a chance of the fish water being in contact with the leaves. High Nitrates I think I read are not good for you. If I'm wrong shoot me.

I am new to this site(this is my first post). Last winter I made a raft from styrofoam and had 4 pots of leaf lettuce growing in my 30 gallon aquarium. The look on my wife's face was priceless when I made a salad and ate it(it was good).

Hi Brent, sounds like you've made it to the right place.

Good to hear that you've already been experimenting. I've done some taste tests in the past, getting friends to try ground grown veggies compared with aquaponic grown, and everyone prefered the aquaponic grown.

I have been doing that lately with cuc's and toms, taste tests on co-workers. I keep asking em does it taste like fish-shite? Seems it don't, no complants so far!
