Having said that I demolished a house in Trentham where the shingle battens appeared to be purple heart. No idea how that could have got into a 125+ year old house in Trentham but the wood was purple and ridiculously hard.

And I thought it was weird enough that I've got a few Lemon-Scented Gum's growing near me which are typically a Queensland tree.

Out of curiosity, what did you do with the timber? It would have been cool to recycle and re-purpose it.

If it hasn't been snaffled by my brother it should still be on my timber rack at my Mums place. Everynow and then I think about what i could do with it :think:
