hi,
I just took my readings and wanted to post them and see what you thought and what actions you would take...

I have two IBC chop system running since last summer.

System 1 has 3 grow beds and 2 DWC tanks on it: Todays reading are:
PH 6.6
nitrates 5
ammonia.2
water temp 73

Mondays readings where:

PH 7.1
nitrates 20
ammonia .2
would you do anything to the system or add anything?

System 2 has 2 grow beds and 4 DWC on it: todays readings are:
PH 6.3
nitrates 5
ammonia.2
water temp 73

Mondays readings where:

PH 7.0
nitrates 20
ammonia .2
would you do anything to the system or add anything ?

I am trying to find out when and if and what I should add to my systems. I had some deaths and think I overstocked and was over feeding and ended up with a bacterial problem, so I harvested 23 larger fish and about 20 small fish died during the previous weeks. The water quality seems good, plants look good not sure why fish got sick. Maybe when they where shipped? the fish looked like they went through a tornado. I read a lot of stress may cause a sickness, not sure... anyway any advice would be needed and appreciated..

Any ideas why you have persistent ammonia levels? Had you recently fed the fish before testing?

My ammonia is always around .2 or the second yellow mark on the chart. Is that to high I thought it was ok to be there? I feed the fish in the morning and at night.
