A really nice thing about silver perch is that you dont need a freezer, and can eat fresh fish when ever you want.

They take a little longer to grow, but after the first year, you can have a steady supply of fish as long as you buy some fry every 6 months or so.

And don't forget you can eat three smaller fish on a plate long before they get big enough for one fish to fill the same plate. Think of it like thinning out plants, by eating every second lettuce before they are full sized.

They grow at a varying rate, which is great, as the big greedy ones push their way to the front of the cue for the BBQ.

And it seems I have just woken up as a beat poet this morning.
