 Post subject: Trick to salting the FT

This morning i didnt have much time to salt my fish tank and tried something different.

I put the pool salt in a sock (roughly 250g) and put it over the 50mm pipe that pumps the water to the FT.

It dissolved the salt in the sock within 30 seconds!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Try it next time you need to salt the FT :D

Don't you have a sump Zman? I just throw in the required amount of salt into my sump and let it dissolve.

The salt doesn't bother fish or yabbies Zman. I used to dissolve mine but F&F told me he just throws his in so I have done that ever since and seems to be ok.

+ 1 I just salt straight into my sump, i salt when i topup most times.... 1ppm usualy with topups...

Edit: Thats iof i add 100 L of water i would add 100g of salt....
