Hi all, I know we are always looking for quality fish, And for those of us living here in Victoria, I recommend you introduce yourselves to Mario from Macedon Native Fish Farm, http://macedonnativefishfarm.com.au/ Mario is an extremely likeable gentleman with a great set up, We have 25 of his Silvers and 10 Cod and they are great quality, probably the best i have seen. If you have had no success with natives in the past (for whatever reason) then have a chat to Mario, we will definitely be back for more. Very Much worth your time. |

Ooh funky, good to have a supplier that isn't a million miles away. I'm going to have to bookmark his site. Thanks heaps, I didn't even know it existed. What are his prices like if you don't mind me asking? |

I've just sent off an email for a price list. It's a little bit of a pity they don't do Tandanus Catfish as I like the idea of stocking them together, but I'm just chuffed there is a supplier so close by. Thanks again! |

Yep, so are we, He is literally 10mins drive from us, And if your coming down the Calder, it is maybe 5 minutes off the freeway. We were very happy with the prices, no issues what so ever. Our perch were say, 4-5cm and the cod just a bit smaller. Great healthy fish. Regards to you |

Hi Everyone, Its been a while, For those of you who may not have heard, my dear friend Mario from Macedon Native Fish Farm, very sadly passed away. I had the pleasure of spending so many hours talking and learning from Mario, about fish husbandry, aquaculture, water quality, history, life and had almost convinced him to try Aquaponics! I am going to miss him dearly, he was an amazing man and a great friend. I have permission from Mario's family to let you know that the fish farm will close its doors, and further permission to post up photos of the equipment that will be sold. I will make that post later on tonight, and ask that if you would like to make inquires that you do so via the email provided here tonight and respect the privacy of his family at this time of lose and sadness. Thanks very much everyone, Regards Jeff |

Ok, like i said, I have permission from Mario's family to post these, there are two rows of fish tanks, One is 6 joined tanks for $700, All fitting, ball valves and white PVC pipe are included for that row The other is 5 joined tanks $600, All fitting, ball valves and white PVC pipe are included for that row. The tanks can be sold individually for $120, All fitting, ball valves and white PVC pipe are included for that tank. I am sure anyone else who visited Mario will attest to the quality of the fish and the water kept in these tanks. The tanks are all plumbed and insulated, and can be bought as a row or separately. There are also: Two high volume aerators, which i am sorry, but i didn't get photos of for you. 20kg bags of various grades of fish food at $100 per unopened bag Please email your inquires to: ukotic@hotmail.com addressed to Adele. i dont mean to be disrespectful in any way, but the tanks are just IBCs, $100+ per tank is A LOT to ask. |
