Hello,

I know that depending on which sustrate you use, your system is going to have a higher or lower pH. So, Im planning to use gravel on my aquaponic system, but I dont know if there´s going to be a difference between white limy gravel or blue gravel. Is White limy gravel more acid or alcaline?

Hope you have some experience in this field.

Thanks.

Do a test before you use it.

If the limy gravel is actually limestone then your pH will always be high until the limestone all dissolves.

Are there charts, tables, or data that anyone could list here with all the nerdy information about aquaponics? Things like all the recommended parts per million for ammonia, ammonium, nitrates, nitrites, bacteria cultures, ph and anything else with numbers and chemicals
