What kind of system is best for strawberries? I noticed some others were using NFT for strawberries. Would they also do well in a grow bed? Not sure if this information is available on another thread, but so far I haven't come across it. |

Thanks Charlie. I haven't done much key word searches. I've mostly just been going from thread to thread to find as much information as possible. Often finding answers raises new questions. |

My strawberries did best in my towers. Less problems with the fruit rotting when they were hanging. grow fine in beds, just didn't get as much fruit production. |

Can I make a suggestion here? Its ok to grow food while the summer months are good, but what about your fish when all your plants are harvested? They die! Just a thought here, mark me if I am wrong , but don’t we need a continues cycle 24/7 twelve months per year? How about planting at least one plant per bed that will grow all year, it does not have too be of the food variety, it just needs to handle the nitrates that are in you system while you wait too plant your next crop off veggies. Your fish wont be eating as much in the colder months, depending on your fish stocks, but isn’t that an obvious situation that will end up in loss of fish or plants1 if you don’t think ahead? Or is it just me? That thinks that way? |
