Post subject:  Basic wicking bed info

Ok, so if you were starting out what depth would be ideal. I have someone who will make up some bases for me to do some wicking beds and he wants an exact height. What height should I tell him?
Sorry, I know the info is all here but my phone doesn't do a good search. All responses greatly appreciated.

200 mm Reserve, 300 mm grow depth.

Mine are 500, 100 reserve 300 grow depth 100 at top to add compost ect
Faye check out my thread last few pagers about the milk crate idea JT del in America swears by them

So can you use your wicking beds with water from the AP system, it seems they are mostly topped up with tap water?

Yes ti gives double benefit changing fish water and feeding beds with nutrient laden water

I use bread crates in the 600ltr tubs i use as wicking beds.
