I found this handy calulator where you can put your salinity in (or any number of other units) and it will give you fish that are happy at that level.

Give it a try, starting at 0PPT (pure water) up to 37PPT (marine)

rainbow trout and barramundi are good apto a few PPT before marine!

Interesting that Black bream don't come in until >7ppt. This was disscussed in a previous thread, and Joel's BBs seam to be travelling quite nicley in what I assume is 0-ish.

I do love it when our WA tax dollars go to something useful :)

Barra are definately the go for me when you consider that they can go from 0.0001ppt through to 40ppt!

I notice that yabbies don't like it above 5 ppt.

Stupid question: Does 5 ppt mean 5 grams of salt per litre of water?
