Post subject:  Too Plant or not to Plant that is the question

I'm still going back and forth about which way to go with the grow beds. I've read here and seen systems in place each having advantages.
But to be honest with you is my concern with going with all DWC's is the threads i've read about some plant roots getting sick from staying wet too long. Is there a list i can find as too which plants are more prone from sickness like this?
I really like the ease and amount of planting i can do on a DWC. Plus the wieght and expense of the planting media that i would not need. Or maybe i could do half and half as an experiment and see what happens? What are your opinions?

Hi keys :wave1:

A couple of points:-

Grow media doesnt have to be expensive, you dont have to use hydroton, you could contact your local suppliers and get some prices on cheap gravel from your area.

Most plants dont suffer from wet roots but more so oxygen defficient water, if you have good DO then plants will thrive. Its the same as a CF system where the roots are immursed in water all the time but with a good amount of air the roots can still breathe. Although some plants do better than others in this situation.
