when you think of putting in iron chelates, also check what the pH of your system is, as I have found from other sources that Fe EDTA (most retail iron chelates) aren't going to be as effective at high pH levels.

Am not too sure if it's true, as I used Fe EDTA while my system pH was in excess of 7.4... the plants still did manage to perk up a bit. But I'm a bit more wary now, and may switch to a different iron chelate mix (eg. Fe DTPA), if I can find it.

Hi, did you source the other kind of chelated iron? I did the same thing (Yates brand Fe EDTA). About to post a question about that...

...and your even in the same state as them! Its what I use - keep in mind it is photo sensitive though, so best to have water covered - I add small weekly doses in the evening for this reason.
