Potassium permanganate (condy crystals) have many uses and like most things if used correctly
is a very good product.

It's works as an anti fungal/bacterial, as a water purifier or a fire starter if going camping.

Unfortunately it can make great fireworks and much more, hence its restrictions and questioning
as to its proposed uses upon purchase.

I can remember the local butcher purchasing some pot permanganate

We thought the guy had tinea from wearing boots all day.

We found out later that when the meat in the window got slimy, he would make up a solution of
pot permanganate and washed the meat.

The end result was meat that looked as though it had just been cut off the beast.

Needless to say, he didn't stay in business.
