Will they work in AP How much will they cost Will they grow out in Summer or Winter so many more questions |

I am still learning all the answers to these at the moment and will keep you all updated as I have kept these as ornamental prior to now so I am setting up a pond to see temp tolerances and growth rates few pregnant females at the moment didnt expect such a good response from this so ill pull my finger out and let you know

Hmmm - been looking at the possibilities of yabbies and marron, so this would be interesting Assume a deep tank wopuld be required as prrawns would be swimmers Definitely interested if you can get some happening and you and the other the guys are successful in your experiments a la your other thread |

I've done a little bit of research on shrimp because I was growing sea monkeys at one time and was interested in keeping bigger shrimp. I found out that the bigger they are the higher ammonia output it will make... your Water/Fish Tank would have to be pretty bigger and you would have to have a high pump rate with lots more of filtering to take care of this ammonia than you would with fish. Like by almost 2x. If you manage to keep the prawns I'll be interested in following your progress... goodluck! |

Just that I've read somewhere, the young need brackish water to get thru larval stage, unlike yabbies etc., ... giant freshwater is cherabin or macrobrachium rosenbergi which I'd like to try, as they have way more tail meat than yabbies, but need warm water, being a tropical |
