I am chasing a disgarded Intex pool or other similar heavy duty liner to line a grow bed. I have seen them on roadside chuckout before (guess they are no use to most people once they have a hole or rip in the side |

I had thought about this too .. Has anyone used a used pool liner for a grow bed ?? How well does it work, is it safe ?? I figured I would ask at the local pool maintenance company to see if they could save one when they did their next install . |

There have been some people in the past who have used cheap intex pools as their fish tanks that had troubles and then vanished off the site. I think we currently have one person with an intex pool raising fish with a bio-filter so it might depend on what type of intex pool it is. |

I am using an intex pool in my system. I would not use one again but it was cheep and there have been no problems so far. I intend to get a smaller plastic tank for future systems. I paid $100 for my 10'x 24" intex pool see my thread for what it looks like. The thing that I am impressed with it the pump that came with the pool. It is a mag drive pump with a filter. The filter will plug immediatly so I dont use it. I cut the filter chamber off and use the pump with out it. I dont know if AU has a craigs list but thats where I would look in the US. |
