Hi all

W are hatching our own chickens and in about 14 weeks will have our first point of lay pullets available. They are a cross between isa browns, australorps and heavy white sussex in varying levels of each breed lol

They have proven to be very good layers for us. if anyone in adelaide and environs is interested, pm me. First batch available in 14 weeks, second batch available in 18 weeks.

Cheers

Stu

just checking it out KP. We are doing some meat hens/roosters too. initially just to get away from the horrible store bought chook. One step closer to self sufficient??? Building a 600 sq metre chook enclosure with orchard, doing some purebred birds eventually, esp the heavy sussex for meat. yeard is meshed over the top too to keep out birds and foxes.

You wouldn't be interested in a pair of Wyandotte bantams by any chance? Aquired form the Royal Adelaide Show. I need to move them on as I want to get a rooster to go with the Silver Laced Wyandotte hens that I have.

I would consider them - we have about 40 odd completely free-range chooks and would love some wyandotte bantam's running around too.

G'day Stu & H
We'll be back mid Jan and looking for some chooks. The FIL has offerred me a couple (Rhode Island Reds I think), but I might take a few of yours too. I will be happy to take some as soon as we arrive back even if they haven't started laying. I will also be looking for a bucket of your best tank water and a pile of growbed gunk - will be happy to do a deal with some home made deserts for the motherinlaw + cash

hey Stu,
I might be looking for some fertile eggs at some stage.
I'm about to build an incubator to try and hatch out some indian runner ducks.
Might throw a few chookie eggs in there as well.
