I got this tank from a cousin in Geraldton where I believe it either was or was planned to be used to grow mussels in an aquaculture setup. I thought about using it as a giant grow bed but really don't have the space for it near my setup and have no interest in growing mussels. It is 2450mm diameter and 250mm deep at the edge, slightly coned with a female threaded outlet in the base of the cone (BSP?).

Looking for $200 for it to put towards one of Joel's GB's which will better suit my space, will be open to lower offers if people think it is to much (I really have little idea what it is worth). PM me for details.

Cheers,
Mike

Spring cleanup, I really need this gone, anyone interested, open to any offers - couple of bags of hydroton maybe? Could be used as a tank lid.

Should be, 250mm deep at edges and deeper towards centre as it is cone shaped base. It is pretty big.

If you hade access to tube rolling it would be great mounted on a big steel hoop of square tube that sat on another ring with grease between them so it rotated like a big lazy susan. You could spin it around to access different spaces if it was in a corner and also give different plants different amounts of direct sun (morning and afternoon).

How about as a REALLY IMPRESSIVE sombrero ?? You'd have to brighten it with a bit of paint though Burnsy.

Sounds like a good idea, when the Easterlies return I might toss it off the side of the hill and see if it goes as far as Cottesloe

Wish I were closer. It'd make a great centrepiece gb and I have just the spot.

Rupe, no dust in our trophy cabinet :P we actually beat your mob in 2006 which was our 3rd in 22 years, your mob beat us in 2005 which was the first in 72 years, or if you take just count Sydney and not South Melbourne it was the first and only in 23 years which was watched by 91,898 at the MCG, to watch the eagles win in 2006 the attendance was 97,431
