Hi fishie friends,

Finally we have had time to finish the plumbing on the fledgling aquaponics sysytem - now

I am looking for some trout, of a description suitable to grow on through a Melbourne Winter...probably 20? Where do I get these little beasties?

and probably an aerator/water bubbler of some description too - for an 180OL tank...

Anyone got anything?!

Macclesfield trout farm have just offered me browns @ 5" and Rainbows @ 6" for $1.90ea pickup.

Are you planning on going to get some? Can I share petrol costs, how far is this place?

And do they sell fishfeed too?

Fish Feed? I imagine so.
Planning on buying some just after easter... too busy and going hiking for the break.

when did macclesfield get more stock? I thought he lost em all

When I rang yesterday he made it sound like they were spawned at his joint last year.

ok cool...............macclesfield is heaps closer for me, thats where stevo n I got ours last time....they also sell feed by the kilo. Also this time of the yr I would be gettin just rainbows

browns grow too slow

having said that,
I DID get lucky and had my last lot of trout for about a year and a half in a buried ibc
that was in a shaded part of the yard with heaps of O2 lol.
