Hi All,
I need to sell my AP system. You can see it here:
viewtopic.php?p=56920#p56920

I'm fully absorbed in getting this ecovillage built, and even though we've talked about having an AP system in the community, there's going to be a couple year period where we don't have space for a system or even a place to hold over breeders. Rather than scramble last-minute to break the system down, I'm putting it on the block now while the tilapia fingerlings are easy to move and in time for someone to get a great Christmas present. I don't deliver. Please bring a truck, a strong friend, and come get it.

I've put well over $2000 and countless hours into the system. The system has been running since early 2007, so almost 2 years, and we've gotten some nice meals. The entire contents of the sunroom is yours for $1000. It's everything you need to set up a fully functional system for yourself.

3 50gal Rubbermaid growbeds
1 150gal Rubbermaid Fishtank
2 workbenches
plumbing, fittings and pump
miscellaneous water test kits and fish care equipment
heaters
gravel with all the bacteria, worms and beneficial nematodes you could want
1 large bag of floating pellets

2 acrylic 50gal aquariums, each with over-the-back filter, undergravel filter, power head and heater. I've used these for breeder tanks, but I think they're a bit small for tilapia. They are currently housing the fingerlings.

Here's the best part--you get 2 or 3 dozen Rocky Mountain White Tilapia fingerlings as part of the deal. You can have the 10 larger tilapia to sort out for breeders if you think you can move them. Otherwise, I'll eat them. I'd rather not piece this out--it all needs to go.

Wow, that's a lot of stuff JP especially including the fish and breeder tanks. Sorry that it's being set down for now, but onward and upward! I'd think hard about it but I'm trying to throttle my own thing down for the Winter. :P

Janet,
I would like to thank you for getting my first system going .
The information on where to get Tilapia was perfect.

I have to say I was floored to see your post. But too many irons can get you burned.
What is this village about ?
I had considered a group in Coal City, IN. I guess the small village is like Mayberry , NC. in the 1950s.
Sorry to see you sell out but, just like chocolate you surely will be back for more.

Thanks, all.
The ecovillage is here: http://www.concordecovillage.org/

Don't worry. I have a feeling I'll be back in the game bigger and better--with cohorts!

Janet, thanks for all you've shared with this group. I know your posts were very instrumental in our system. And, Salut to your new project. I love new projects and what you are doing with the ecovillage is being part of the leading edge again. I wish you all the best.

I just hope you realise that just because you might not have a system for a while.... you can't ignore your friends...

Pop on and say hello every now and then Janet... and let us know how things are going....

Good luck and best wishes.....
