Due to change of our plans later in the year I'm looking to sell my well established aquaponic system. It's made out of 2x 1000litre IBC tanks, one entire tank for the fish (currently between 45 and 50 mature goldfish - included) and 2 grow beds made/cut out of the second IBC. There are different ways and believes how you can run this, just google for example CHOP (constant height one pump). Our system uses an old bathtub as sump tank where the pump is located. From here the water is pumped into the fish tank where it oxygenate the water via a dozen or so outlets. A standpipe sucks water with fish waste from the bottom of this fishtanks via gravity feed into a 200l drum gravity filter. The water runs again via gravity into the growbed (currently only one is set up but second was used as well so is ready to go). The grow bed is filled with scoria rocks that have got established bacteria. Here a bell syphon is filling and completely draining the filtered and cleaned water back into the sump tank and the circle repeats itself. The system is well established and I'm selling it with all fish, items, tanks, pipe, media/rocks, pump etc necessary to run it. We have had this system running for over 1.5 years and all runs as is but likely with a move needs some maintenance or updating. We are still growing tomatoes now (end June) but are looking for a good home. Please feel free to ask any questions related to the sale. |
