Hi Folks, I might have a spare 1000L tank, I am getting two but expect I need to start a little smaller. They are white plastic in steel cages and are about 1 Meter square, with a drainage whole at the bottom, on a palette. They have been used for keeping fish in the past. Need to know if you are interested by tomorrow morning. Cheers Jon K |

Hi Jonk welcome to the forum. They are called IBC`s. Have they been kept out of the sun in their past life? How much you want for the spare? |

They were in sunlight when I saw them but the plastic looked fine. I expect I'll find out more when I put water in :-) |

if they've been in the sun for too long, the plastic crazes, lots of tiny cracks. Gently push against one of the corners or edges, the crazes seem to show up there first. |

Hi Jonk ... If you want to get rid of it ... for free (I can't buy it .. and I know you will probably wish to sell to recover investment ...) However ........... My High school students would Quote: love you forever
if you are in a position to donate ... No pressure ... Hee hee ... But the kids I work with deserve so much more than they can get! I am a scrounger for them ... they deserve more than I can beg or borrow! One of those IBC's could be filled with baby Koi and would work helping the kids learn aquaculture.. aquaponics and grow veggies, seedlings and flowers .... in next to no time... Let me know ... if you don't sell and want to remove it ... Kindest regards Johnnie |
