Backyard Aquaponics
A place to discuss aquaponics

This is a fully tested / working aquaponics system. Unfortunately I cannot use this system anymore but it has worked well for the time I've had it up and running (October 2015 to current).

Some details:
- 3x 275 gallon IBC Totes connected in serial
- FT sections are a little over 150 gallons each when filled, or 450+ gallon capacity
- GB are filled with expanded Shale
- System is a Flood and Drain
- Low flow index valve purchased from TCLynx
- Sequence 750 pump (plus spare brand new one still in box)
- Large diameter piping as much as possible for best flow
- Many ball valves for future system expansion (pump will accommodate) and flow adjustments
- Drainback piping connects across all FT for constant aeration
- Currently stocked with Rocky Mtn White Tilapia
- Includes testing kit and chemicals (PH balancing, salts, etc).
- 6x 40lb bags of Skretting Extruded Floating fish food

Selling All For $1150 OR minus the new spare pump and fish food for $750.

- Chemicals / Test Kit: $70
- Labor: Not included
Total: $1860

One last bumpity bump, will be parting it out if can't sell the working system as a whole...
