I am just poking around for interest in anyone that might want some Mutag BioChip's

the minimum order is about twice what I need

they work out the same $ / sqm as the k1 micro but use 1/3 the Litres 850 vs 3000
so they might be helpful to those that want to slightly boost their current system by adding in with existing k1
or for those who want to keep their bio filtration size small for more grow space ( like me )


ie) to compare sqm / volume
k1 ( 850 sqm / L ) 85000 sqm 100L = $200 and ability to handle 1.7kg food
Mutag BioChip 3000 sqm /L ) 85000 sqm 30L = $200 and ability to handle 1.7kg food


k1 @ 500 sqm can do 1 kg of feed per 100L
k1 micro @ 850 sqm can do 1.7 kg of feed per 100L $200
BioChip @ 3000sqm can do 9.5 kg of feed per 100L $335~$370


I can do COD shipping for a fee (whatever the post office charges) for those who want to go that way as well

no minimum order , just bare in mind AU postage is expensive ...
no commitment I am just deciding if I pay the middle man or import it, pending interest here

from experience it's normally cheaper importing
ie) my greenhouses are 1/3 the price direct from china ... exact same product middle man cut out

I might have stuffed up my maths somewhere , this morning it worked out the same price now it's looking cheaper ...

anyhow with the current EUR/AUD exchange rate its
$5000 AUD for 1.5m3 @ 255kg plus whatever import duties / tax are thrown on it normally 10%
and around $200 shipping to get it home from Brisbane port

I am still trying to get my hands on Kaldnes Bio Chip prices

The Mutag seems to be German.. and thus very expensive to move..

I have approached a local manufacturer to see if they can make a blown HDPE and shave it ..

Could be a profitable product for them

Far cheaper to look at China and some of their media, some of which far exceeds surface areas of some products like K1..
