spring is quickly aproaching and i am looking into making a bulk order of barrumundi for the coming months.

they are $1.90 for 10cm fingerlings, however orders over 1000 are discounted. i need 300 for myself so am wondering if anyone would be interested in buying some of the other 700 with me. i am willing to hold onto them for a couple weeks as my system should support a large number of fingerlings that size.

if anyone is interested please post here so i can get an idea of the numbers. if there is little interest i will only order 300 for myself. if there is enough interest i will purchase 1000 and they will go to those who put in there request here first. what i mean by this is if the amount of requests greatly exeed the 700 then those who put in there request first will get priority. if someone pulls out then the next person to put in there request will get priority. hope this makes sense. basically i have to ensure i will be able to move the 700. i wont be making any profit out of this so cant afford to have any left over.

Any idea how cheap they get for over 1000?

buy the looks of the discounts for over 1000 on different species, i'de say i should be able to get them down to about $1.50 a pop.

i sent them an email and am waiting on a reply. i'm trying to organize this now as i know how long these orders some times take a while to come through.

i'll let you know when they return my email. i may even give them a call tomorrow.

Don't make anything firm yet, I have a couple of contacts to try out, might be able to get them cheaper...

What time period were you looking at BF? When would you be looking at getting them?

Count me in for at least 100. Might pay to chase up Joels contacts as at least if we get them locally we wont have to get them through quarantine.

would it be possible you chase up those locals joel? ausfish seem to have a pretty good rep from what i've read. if you can a cheap reliable local source i would be all over it. from what iv'e seen most locals are pretty pricey and very unreliable. i want to get them for the begining of spring when water temps are higher.

as for a date i want to have them by sep 1st. if water temps are to low i will only need to heat them a month or so with 300watt aquarium heaters.

by the looks of it though it doesn't look like there will be enough interest.

well time has come for me to pick up some barra for my systems.

if anyone is at all interested in putting in for a bulk order to get some a bit cheaper please let me know. i have located a good supplier in perth.

i will be getting 10-15cm sized ones so i can finish them without the use of a heater. temps should be up in about a month so that is my time frame for purchase.

due to my tanks reaching 23 deg i am now ready to make a barra purchase and get going with them.

faye wants some but not sure if anyone else is keen this early. i will be contacting the supplier tommorow and aranging a day to go in this week some time. didn't expect my tanks to be so warm but they jumped from 18 to 23 the last couple days.

if anyone else is interested let me know.
