as the title says I am after a gravity filter for pond
yes I could make my own but the cost of the foam and media is crazy

so if you have one let me know

Have you thought of Polyester Insulation Bats..
I have also made extensive use of Agg-Fabric.. in filters, and regularly wash them for reuse...

I don't know what you have in mind with a "gravity filter " , but there has to be a practical way of turning a black storage box into one (with suitable overflow for when the filtration clogs up..
