It’s with great sadness I’m putting my AP system up for sale. It has served me well and grown over the last 4-5 years from a clam shell with 5 gold fish strung together with leftovers.

While on holiday recently most of my silver perch died for no apparent reason (don’t have any readings etc but system was fully functional). The ‘experiment’ was not supposed to go this long any way but I always found an excuse to keep it going. Now with no fish it seems like the right time to put my AP on hold – until I have more land to work with!

The sale includes:
Fish tank 500L, Grow beds - including clay media - round 280L with wooden stand + 4x65L with wooden (untreated) stand, 6x1M towers, ‘Bio filter’ (60L bin with fine media within), swirl filter (converted 20L white handy pale), sump 150L?, 3 Laguna pumps pt8244 (7600l/h) PJ MAX-FLO 3500 & PJ MAX-FLO 8000, UPS converted to run from 2 car batteries - included (new 4 years ago), safety switch, additional clay media approx. 100L, misc plumbing siphons etc.

$700 ono. I’d prefer not to split. Pick up from Pooraka.

The system is running, so if it is picked up in the morning it could be set up and running in the afternoon – retaining all the bacteria worms etc. This would be an ideal way to get started!
