There's a guy on ebay with a TON of IBC cheap...

http://cgi.ebay.com/275-Gallon-Poly-Tot ... dZViewItem

Unfortunately, I'm too far away to take advantage of this deal, but maybe someone on here will be able to.

Locally I haven't been able to find them for less than $140 each. But I'm still looking!

With petrol costs it would be at the least $1800 one way for a semi load. And I just can't afford it. The one in the pic had polyethylene glycol in it. If I was close enough to get some, I'd contact the seller and find out what other liquids were in them and see if there are other that are better or worse and if you can pic through them to get the more food grade and safe ones. Although polyethylene glycol used to be in Dr. Pepper.

Question for people, can source some IBC's locally that have previously contained latex based water soluble polymers.

Anyone know the toxicity of the above products? I thought they were reasonably low toxicity.... but the seller listed them as "not suitable for drinking water"

Hmmm... Let's do a little math, $30 x 100 = $3000 + roughly $2500 S&H = $5500 / 100 = $55. What do you think? It still looks like a bargain to me if your local price is $130 per. (Also check around, rather than buying a tractor trailer load, you could go down to a 24' gooseneck and one ton pick-up load and still come out. Sell all you don't need/want to offset the cost of S&H.) If I had the time, money, and equipment I would jump on it. Unfortunately, as an old friend of mine used to say, "if we had bacon and eggs, we'd have bacon and eggs." Kevin

Also Rassd, motor freight carriers only charge from point of pick up to destination. So you wouldn't be looking at round trip expenses like you would if you went and got them yourself. :thumbleft:
