Niloc - I don't know about Adelaide, but up here in Brisbane many of the Hydro shops will do 50 litre bags of expanded clay for $30 - and they are the good quality ones too (from Holland, not China). You just need to shop around a bit - I paid too much for the first bag I bought (the prick told me that it couldn't possibly be done cheaper than $40, clearly a lie given that I subsequently found 2 shops that do it for $30).

If you are lucky enough to find somebody who does it without a shop front, you may even get it cheaper - who knows? Price may vary depending upon availablility at the time.

The hydroponics shop here in Cairns has them (Northern Hydroponics)... they were $30 a bag before changing owners - will have to look into it again to find if prices are still the same :)

Most Dutch shops sell those bags for €10 (~$15).. I wonder how much shipping to the other side of the world would be?

By the way, Canna is a Dutch brand that supplies stuff to grow cannabis :P

Hmmm, wow, that price is that same as in the shops... somebody must be screwing you Jim because the shops put a mark up on theirs to cover the price of the shop front etc... Perhaps you could get it cheaper from another supplier :)
