I also picked up a box of pumps. There was 7 in my box and so far I have 5 working, 1 possible and one dead. Most of them were jammed by some expanded clay.

None of mine were jammed by clay! So far anyway.
Looks like you got the pick of the bunch!
Mine have all been pulled apart and have screws missing!

But if you need a cap to fix a dead one let me know, I did a bulk order.
You can tell if its the cap, it is bulged.

I have inspected the pumps and can report the following .





Of the 14 pumps, 10 have legible serial numbers. Of these , the serial number would indicate that 9 of the pumps have most probably been installed for more than 1 5 to 18 months.



3 still run, so we don't know the reason they are returned.



3 have capacitors that have "blown", and this is generally due to a power supply problem or surge.



The remaining 8 all have some form of physical damage and/or foreign matter behind the impeller, indicating they have suffered some misuse.



From the limited information we have it would appear that none of these are warranty.



Without any further information on the operation, installation, proof of purchase etc. we are unable to examine any further.

To date , the work done will not incur a fee . If we proceed further , based on the findings to date , there will be a $75 fee per pump for a full report . We will also require the proof of purchase from your clients before the commencement of any further inspection by us and written approval from you to proceed .
