Ahhh, I think we were there a couple of months back and bought some ibcs and plastic barrels from him. Some of the IBCs left were a bit "used", but they are free... :)

gumtree people can take the piss with price tho, and the amount of time wasters on there is like ive never seen.

But there are bargains to be had at times.

That was October last year, I don't think there would be any there still, check the post on the previous page for details.

To the guy selling "complete AP systems" here in perth on gumtree? It's expanded clay, not expandable clay... Not a great sign if you don't know what your products are called...

Yep, just spent the afternoon up in Gosford.... fixing up a system that was supplied by a guy advertising on Gumtree recently....

Same guy sold them 30-35mm Barramundi with the system about 3 weeks ago.....

And then supplied them with some Silver Perch, via "LiveFish".... because he couldn't get any in NSW........ that were between 5-10mm...

And a jar of pellets... that the client is having to crush up into dust/crumble... because the Perch are so small...)

People need to check out who is supplying them.... or who they're supplying to...

In the words of the client, who's totally new to AP... she called me because... "the bloke selling the system didn't seem to know very much, and when I complained about the Silver Perch... didn't want to know about it.... I guess he'd already banked my cheque"...

Oh.. I forgot.... the "supplier" only filled the 1000L tanks up to just above the pump top (when the grow beds were full)....

Because the fish were so small... "that they probably wouldn't be producing enough nutrients if you filled the tank right up"...

Reckon there wasn't much more than about 250L of water in the tank...
