Just make a compost bin and put grass clippings, kitchen scraps etc in it and the worms will just arrive.

Do people care if they are using recycled plastic bins to make the compost or should people be going for food grade again?

There are a number of internet sites that show you how to turn polystyrene boxes into worm farms. I would advise putting some aluminium flyscreen at bottom to stop other insects and slaters etc getting into the worm farm.
I have made a number of these boxes for local schools etc, and used coir (you can buy it in dried blocks) as the original bedding material.

Can anyone tell me if these are the worms you use in a worm farm?

I bought them from a fishing tackle store as "baitworms"

I cant stand the thought of giving bunnings $70 for some worms. I only need 2 and let nature do its thing :)
