I purchased my catfish from Glenwaters Native Fish Farm in Glenburn Victoria.

Yeah he said he had some catfish when I was there last week.

Yeah I got 20 from John last year at the end of Jan. They were about 60mm so good sized fingerlings

Do you know if he can freight them or do I need to go there (not going to happen ATM!)? Oh and how much did you pay per fish?

You would have to ring John and talk to him. Jamey and I have only ever gone and picked up fish

Give him a call... or send an email for answers on freight and current cost.
I think I paid $2.00 each... but they were only 35mm... about 12 months ago.

A bit pricey, even in bulk, but livefish have some 50mm in stock and will ship almost anywhere in Aus

Bit pricey.... bit like saying Antartica is cold....

I have contacted livefish and asked of the possibility of them have a bulk deal on catfish. They replied saying they were looking for a new bulk supplier for the tandanus. So maybe soon they will have a bulk deal on them.

Ha... everyone is looking for a bulk supplier... none in NSW.. and their normal supplier doesn't have any...

Going to try Murray Cod Hatcheries as McFarm got a "few boxes" off of him when he was driving up to Sydney. I don't spose anyone has had them for 5 years to see if they'll breed.... was wondering if you could just put a bucket of sand in your AP system and whether they'd use that - having a sand bottom in the tank is less than ideal.

Any news on these?
The missus wants some plants from livefish for the aquarium so it'd be good to get some of these at the same time.. the ones listed are still a bit pricey though..
