Does anyone know how/where I could buy some used drill rods? I'm in SW NSW.

I want to use them to make something similar to OBO's old inground tank; and it'd also be handy to have some cheap steel around for lunatic AP experiments.

Since I first saw them ages ago on one of OBO's early threads I've had several goes at trying to find them via Google but I can never find a supplier.

You wont find any suppliers via google.

Find a Diamond drilling contractor near you - there will be one. Rock up with a couple of cartons of beer and a long trailer. Offer cash / beer for drill rods..,....

Win.

Thanks for the tip OBO. My compliments, by the way, for your treasured system threads--Kalgoorlie's real gold mines, I reckon.

Now...to find a diamond drilling contractor that drinks beer--Geez it's a long shot, but I'll give it a try (inserts smilie).

cheers

Delgrade - the walls of the rod get too thin, or the threads wear out / get damaged.
