Well, most times I bemaon that fact that Howard took our guns off us... In retrospect it was probably just as well...
Because I would have shot myself on Sunday... just because of plain stupidity...
Loaded up the transport tank about 08:00 with about 500 fingerlings for the Sydney folk...
Got interrupted by a couple of phone calls... then decided to spread the remaining fingerlings between the three small holding tanks...
Took some ammonia readings, and decided that as the day was going to be way hotter than expected... and I'd be away until after dark... to do a 30% water change on each tank...
Left home about 11:00.... dropped into Geoff's at Albion Park.... took the lid off the tank...
And saw floaters.... I'd forgotten to turn the air on... and hadn't checked before I left.... grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr ....
Whacked the oxy on.... and watched about 300 fingerlings either float to the surface... or die in front of me over the next half hour....
Talk about bloody stupidity... disheartening to say the least...
Dropped Geoff's fish into his tank (all OK)... drove back home, unloaded the dead uns.... reloaded and completed the Sydney deliveries...
The cat will eat well... for about the next year.... the rest will be frozen into "pilchard" type blocks ... for some salmon fishing....
Can't believe I could be that bloody stupid...
