One would think so!
Depends on how big your system is going to get.
But I'd wait for other input!

These are the same as the ones that AM bought from Murray. Both AM and Murray have had some issues with them burning out I believe. I think AM's lasted for about 6 months. THe thing is, they are probably not a bad pump, just not made for this type of use. If I had one in my gray water tank - it would probably only pump once or twice a day. In AP it would get heaps more use.

Listed as $200 new.... you'd think they'd be alright.....

But point taken, they're probably not "continuous" rated .

Brand listed as "Bell Carroll".... weren't the ones from Murray, some cruddy Chinese brand lookalikes?

Or are these "made in China" with a dodgy brand name? Can't seem to find anything on "google" about a company by that name....

Just brings up lots of deals direct / auction sites....

Believe me Rupe - are the same ones. I have 2 myself, buyt haven't used them for much yet. Will save them for other work as I don't trust them for my AP.

Yes are Chinese - not that this alone would put me off. All my pond pumps are made in china and are very reliable.

I believe you mate.... got suckered by the brand name until I googled around a bit....

Point I'm leading to is why pay $200 for a pump that you'd think at that price would be OK...

When for another $50 you can get a proven brand "Ebara" pump off Joel

Those pumps would never be $200. Everything on those sorts of sites show a massive discount to sucker people in. I paid less than $70 for mine from recollection - when they were still being sold on ebay.

Dont buy this pump. I got one from Aldi, same chinese make, and it shorted out after 2 months. If you want to use it continualy get a good expensive pump it will save you a lot of hartache.
