We should change this thread to say "WA Trout 2010" since we already have a NSW and SA ...

Last time I communicated via email with Gavin, he mentioned that he is taking orders from mid March... and intends to start his first delivery Wed 7th Apr. Not sure if it has changed, but he should be taking orders any time now...

Rainbows Coopa, PM troutman, his thread is here viewtopic.php?f=10&t=7173
Trout are the only option if you want edibles, or red fin if you want a headache, stay with the trout, TM has posted deliveries starting april 7 depending on the temperature which I think may still be warmish

I see in the WA trout thread... your long range forecasters are saying mild/warm through to May Nocky...

Is that just WA.... or OZ wide??

Don't know rupe, the south west has been bazaar this year, hottest march temp of 41c, hottest min in 76 years of 27c, should be low mid 20's by now here and is low mid 30's, I must admit I study WA weather more but we generally send it over your way, well to southern eastern states anyhow, Perth had 0.2mm rain for year to date, haven't checked how much they got yesterday but doubt much, we got 0.6mm and gives us nearly 6mm for year which is 60mm behind year to date last year, we are nearly 5c above the long term avg, wouldn't mind jst a bit of rain you guys are getting :dontknow:
I am located 200km's SSE of Perth

Are you human?: I think...I hope so!
Location: Sou'West Oz
we got rain.. but it wouldn't even count as .1mm!! it was abysmal. I wanted MORE! aah well... it's pruning/weeding time so it was kinda good timing.
Anyhow today and tomorrow will be warmer but I'm hoping it cools down next weekend... I'm seeing a lot of 15Cs for the minimums so it should be on the way...
I think it's gonna be one of those crazy climate changes when one day in the end of march/early april when the temperature just drops dramatically and then stay down towards winter... I'm getting my systems ready for that because the fish and plants will definitely be affected by that.

Middle of May  - yeah, I hope your sources are wrong too. Mid-20's and I'll be a happy little aquaponicist !
