Just found this & thought it was interesting : http://www.ausnativefish.com.au/Aquaponics_Systems.htm they might wanna wrap those IBCs in something to stop em deteriorating in the sun |

Nah, they get bugger all sun once there are some plants in them. Also they deteriate very slowly at lower temps, ap water is usually pretty cool. |

I think they last about 3-4 years, at least that's how long mine have lasted out the back storing water in a fairly shaded spot. Walked up to one the other day and pushed the plastic and the thing cracked. Need to empty the water out soon before it blows... |

Or had to severly mod the siphon,inflow... and/or pump.... Oh... and most have put a screen around them.... they're a bit like "tits on a bull"... and twice the price they should be... |
