Hi all

My system at home only has a 500 l volume of water and i lost one of my jade perch yesterday. The only thing i have done differently to my usual routine is that i added about 20% tap water. I have done this in the past with no ill affects. Any advice would be great full.

I have a spare tube with water and an air stone. My system is large enough to handle water from the tap but I like to keep some water without chlorine around just in case.

One fish loss is not a problem, and not likely to be related to tap water, especially if it has not caused problems before.

I would not stress yet, but if you continue to loose fish every time you add water, you may need to do it with pre aerated water.
