So when its said that you generally try to turn the volume of the ft over every hour, you mean that the volume of the ft has passed thru the gb's atleast once, even if it is just overflowing (using a standpipe)? So if i have a 1100l ft then all 1100l should pass either thru or over the standpipe? |

And what is the general size of the solids in the ft? Would a 9000l per hr pump be good? It'll have bout 6500lph at 2m and can take solids up to 5mm, but is classified as a clean water pump, but is only $149. Any opinions? |

Should be OK Jono... the biggest pellet feed is 6mm... and you wont be feeding the fish more than they can eat... will you... |
