Hi,
Firstly I hope I've posted this in the right place...
Did anyone see new inventors this week (1/11)? A couple of guys (one of whom I'm sure is a writer for Organic GA) were showing off their new AP system. They had a seperator that took the waste from the fish tank and seperated liquids and solids then the solids were put into a worm farm and the castings used to feed the plants while the liquids were used to feed the plants as per most of what I've read about aquaponics (and the grow beds rotated vertically :o).
Anyway, I came in late and missed the start of their segment, so it could be that the seperator was the actual invention and I missed that important point
Is a seperator necessary? It seems to me (and I know NOTHING) that this was another moving part that could break down while I'm not looking - or worse, while I am looking, lol...
What do people do with the solid waste from their fish tanks? Does it just break down over time to add to the nutriant content of the water? I had assumed this, but you know what they say about assuming...
I really am a total newb with this...

Thanks for your patience,
Sunrise
