I'm in Nthn Vic and need GBs to compliment my 2x2000L FTs. What volume do people suggest (water and aggregate combined) for the GBs and where should I purchase them?

Jim, Dean (member LiveBeyond) is the Victorian distributor of the BYAP kits and components... tanks and growbeds etc...

They are not only aesthetically pleasing, but well designed and tested.... and priced at least comparable to any custom metal tanks...

For a combined total of 4000L of water... you'll need at least 4 x 500L growbeds... 6 would be preferable...

But it all depends on your stocking density...

I'd split into 2 systems... each 1 x 2000L tank with 3 x growbeds.... run trout in one over winter... silver perch in the other...

Use any dormant period for fingerlings of either species... :wink:
