I will be traveling back to the states(specifically) Wisconsin for furlough for about the next four months. When I return to Botswana I will be trying to implemant what i have been learning mostly from online sources. Does anyone know of anyone who lives in or near Wisconsin who would be willing to let me see their system and do some hands on "brain picking"? thanks |

I think you might want to visit Growing Power http://www.growingpower.org/ There are some videos you can watch as well. They are doing pretty good to manage to grow tilapia in greenhouses in winter in Wisconsin I think. Their set up might not be pure Aquaponics but I think they would prove to be interesting to you. |

I was at a talk that Will Allen (Of Growing Power) gave last night. He's so damn inspiring. You might also want to see if the new Sweet Water Organics is giving tours yet: http://bayviewcompass.com/archives/1205 I'm in Minneapolis, which is 'close' to Wisconsin, if you're talking midwest distances... =) |
