G'day all

Are uniseals as good as the company says they are?
do "B" sell them, or do I need a specialty shop?

Perhaps a search of the forum to locate the myriad of posts and multiple threads about uniseals... might assist you in answering your question Bentaz...

For some purposes I absolutely love them.
For some other situations they are kinda a pain in the...... well what ever body part has to try and push them through and perhaps a few other parts where the muscles are connected to.
They are really the biggest cost savings for large pipes but the larger the pipe, the more difficult it seems to push the pipe through the uniseal. We have once managed to get a 3" pipe through the 3" uniseal but it was a monumental struggle. the 1 1/2" stuff is easier but only if you are going through rather thin tank walls, trying to push through 1/2" plywood and liner is quite a bit more difficult.

I doubt you can get them from B so do a search here on the forum as there are a few suppliers. I get my from Aquatic Eco Systems but I live in Florida and they are local for me to stop in for things so I don't pay extra shipping (it's all in the markup from aquatic eco.)

In short B don't sell them. almost any store worth it's salt will order them in for you. As Rupe says: use the search engin.

If you decide to do a system with lots of smaller containers like buckets and barrels, the uniseals could be a huge cost savings since such systems need lots of pipe fittings and bulkheads cost more plus you usually need threaded fittings on either side of the bulkheads so even more money.
